Iran is one of the world’s oldest civilizations. Historically, has been refreshed to as Persia by the west. It has been home to organized urban settlements since at least 4000 BC. At its greatest extent, the Achaemenid Empire included the modern Territories of Iran making it the first-world government and the largest empire of the world. The real founders of this splendor were a model of diplomacy, civility, and human morality. They were mono – Theist before Christianity and Islam. Their words and manners symbolizing humanity, generosity, and liberation of slaves.

The king of ancient Persia
In 539 B.C, The armies of Cyrus the Great, the first king of ancient Persia conquered the city of Babylon. He freed the slaves, declared that people are free to choose their own religion, and established racial equality. These are recorded on a baked clay called “Cyrus Cylinder “and is believed to be the world’s first chart of human rights. There is a theory that mentions the character of Dhul- Qarnayn in Quran is, in fact, Cyrus the Great. This theory has been endorsed by some scholars including Alameh Tabatabai a prominent thinker of philosophy and contemporary Shia Islam.

The supreme leader “Imam Ali Khamenei” is the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The official religion is Shia Islam. Other recognized religions are Sunni Islam, Christianity, Judaism, and Zoroastrianism. The official language is Farsi (Persian) and currency is Rial (IRR). Iran has the second largest proved gas reserves in the world after Russia. It also ranks fourth in oil reserves. Iran is a country with high potential in the tourism industry. The landscape of Iran is diverse, providing a range of activities from Hiking and Skiing in the Alborz mountains, to beach holidays by the Persian Gulf and The Caspian Sea.
